In an effort to define the scope of activities provided through this club, here is a chart that
summarizes all club activities and membership

| SINGLES CHALLENGE LADDERS |
There are two singles ladders offered, Regular (best of 3 set match) and 40 Love Singles, for players age 40 and above, (scoring is best of one 15 game set) |
| SPRING TOURNAMENT |
(Singles (40 Love and Regular, depending on registrations) and Doubles) Partners for doubles are drawn by the Competition Committee. Matches will be regular 2 out of 3 sets. If games reach 6-all, a 12 point tie-breaker is used. The 40 Love Singles is 2 out of 3 sets, using no add scoring. Anyone who drops out of the Spring Tournament after the draw is posted, will not be able to enter this tournament the following year. If your partner drops out due to illness or injury, before the tournament begins, the Competition Committee will try to arrange another partner for you. |
| ROUND ROBIN |
(Doubles) There may be several groups in each division. For doubles, players choose their own partner. All matches must be arranged and finished between May 27and August 29. Matches will consist of best 2 out of 3 sets. Players will keep track of the games won and lost within each set, with the tournament winner having the highest percentage of games won. If a person or team drops out of the tournament, the matches played will be forfeited and not counted and you will not be able to enter the tournament the following year. You must finish the tournament in order to receive credit for it.
A player or team arriving more than 15 minutes late will incur a three game penalty (start at 0-3). This same rule also applies to the rescheduling of a match more than twice. If players are more than 30 minutes late, the match is to be rescheduled at the opponents convenience, with a one set (0-6) penalty. Winners of each group will participate in a play-off match.
NEW: All matches will use USTA timed match rules, to play within 2 hour period.

| TGIF TENNIS |
TGIF will be played Friday mornings, 9-11 am, 6/13-8/29 at John's Park. The main intention TGIF is to have a scheduled tennis time without having to make several phone calls/emails to coordinate a playing time. You get a schedule and go!
The coordinator, Markie Condon, will send an email to all who registered for TGIF asking what dates you CANNOT play as well as the list of who enrolled. If you find the list is not appropriate for your playing level, or for any other reason, please notify Markie asap. She will then set up a schedule and email it out. You will be responsible for getting your own subs from the list provided, but please notify Markie who your sub is.
Please keep in mind this is a new program and we are trying to accommodate players of different levels the best way we can. Our intention is to set it up like our indoor leagues (with cumulated wins/losses tracked, playing everyone in the league at least once, and switching partners at half time) but the exact format may vary until we find what works for the group we get!

| SHORELINE TENNIS |
Shoreline membership is limited to north suburban park districts or city recreation departments. The Glenview Park District sponsors A1, A2, B1 and B2 women’s teams. Any seasoned, competitive player who resides within the Glenview Park District is eligible to participate in Shoreline, although priority is given to regular GWTC members. Placement for new members will be determined primarily by assessment of the players level by a Glenview Tennis Club pro. Matches are played once a week during June and July. The B teams play on Wednesdays at 1:00 and the A team plays at 1:00 on Thursdays. Shoreline Coordinator is Alissa Boleky. |
| NORTH SHORE TENNIS |
The Glenview Women’s Tennis Club is one of the few park district organizations affiliated with the North Shore League, which is composed largely of country clubs. The Club sponsors three teams and currently we have two A teams, one B team and one E team. League play is doubles only and stresses competitive excellence. Eligible Club members desiring a spot on a team must round robin twice, once in June, against other challengers and again in the last week of July, when the top two challengers of the June round robin may challenge two players on the current B1 team. Eligible players must be current members of GWTC. If you are a non-Glenview resident, you must have been a member of the outdoor league for at least three years. The sign-up for the June round robin is sent in a spring newsletter. If you did not sign up this year, you will have to wait until next year and look for the sign-up in that newsletter. The dates in late July will also be the dates for the challenge up between the B1 team and the A2 team and the A2 team and the A1 team, if a player or players from the lower team choose to do so. For further information or to sign up, contact the North Shore Team Coordinator, listed in the Annual Booklet. |
